Our za’atar honours traditional Palestinian flavours while bringing in distinctly New Zealand elements. Sumac and herbs provide the classic tangy, aromatic base, while toasted seeds add earthy depth. To this we’ve added dehydrated feijoa, lending bright acidity, floral notes, and a subtle astringency for balance. Native kawakawa brings a grassyness and a unique numbing tingle unlike any other za’atar. The result is a bold, vibrant seasoning - a true fusion flavour and tradition.
Ingredients: Toasted sesame, oregano, feijoa (8%), sumac, kawakawa (5%), coriander, cumin, thyme, chilli, fennel, carraway. Contains sesame.
